From September 11 to 15, Limburg will host the European Cycling Championships, with Hasselt and Heusden-Zolder as the host cities. To promote this event, 125 Pukkelpoppers can join the Pukkelpop Peloton on Thursday, August 15. They will cycle from Heusden-Zolder to the festival grounds in Kiewit.
The Pukkelpop Peloton will set off from the brand-new Velodrome in Heusden-Zolder, accompanied by Belgian national cycling coach Sven Vanthourenhout. Participants' luggage and camping gear will be delivered directly to the campsite, while a DJ provides great beats along the way.
Following a 30 km adventure along the F70 cycle highway, the Pukkelpop Peloton will glide into the official PKP bike parking. Participation is free with a valid festival and camping ticket, but registration through the European Cycling Championships website is mandatory.
Festival-goers can also take part in the EK Limburg 2024 Sprint Challenge during Pukkelpop. On Friday, August 16 and Sunday, August 18, you can try to set the fastest time in the E-rena, similar to the finish of the European Championships course.
